Philosophy

"The limits of my language are the limits of my world."

-Ludwig Wittgenstein

Language shapes and reflects the human experience.  In order to become global citizens, our students need the ability to understand and manipulate language, and they need to respect and appreciate all of the ways the English Language Arts affect and enrich our lives. We want our students to become agents of change who will create a more just and fulfilling world for all members of the global community.  We believe that the best way to accomplish this is to use our classrooms to develop strong readers, writers, and thinkers.
